The Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) regulations passed in March 2015, make it unlawful to lease all privately rented commercial property or permit lease renewals unless the building complies with the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) with an EPC rating of ‘A’ to ‘E.
