Colin McEvoy

Job title:

Director: Project Management

Brief Career History:

I’ve had the good fortune to work for many award-winning practices and property companies.

I cut my project management teeth at AYH before moving to Derwent London, a frequent winner of property company of the year as judged by both Property Week and Estates Gazette.

From there I moved to Hammerson, awarded Developer of the Year by Property Week during my time with them.

Prior to joining Paragon in 2017, I was a Partner at Foster + Partners. For a record twelve years the most admired architectural practice in the world, as judged by Building Design.

About me:

I delight in spending time with my young family. We try to stay active together and we’ll usually be found cycling, swimming, climbing or kicking a football together.

I spend less time on my bike now than I did pre-children, but I’m rebuilding the habit.

Photography helps to scratch my creative itch. I’ve not yet abandoned film and have a cupboard full of vintage cameras.

Favourite food:

Middle-eastern cuisine is a favourite.

Favourite cocktail or drink:

It’s got to be a well poured pint of Guinness.

Favourite London eatery:

I remain undecided, due to the wealth of choice. But please get in touch should you wish to help me select one!

Favourite travel destination:

Cornwall remains a firm favourite, due in part to its ease with a young family. Occasionally (frequently!) rain stops play and I find myself yearning for somewhere altogether warmer.

A random thing someone wouldn’t know about you:

I’m a born again judoka, having become reacquainted with the sport of Judo at the ripe age of forty something. Judo translates to “the gentle way”, which is blatantly untrue. It hurts.
