Brief Career History:
After a brief spell at Dunlop Heywood in Manchester after leaving Uni, I joined DTZ in Glasgow in 1998 before leaving to help set up CNP’s Scottish office in 2004. In 2007, I joined Knight Frank as a partner to establish a building surveying department in Edinburgh. In 2018, I joined Paragon as a Director to set up an Edinburgh office and to develop the business across Scotland.
Married with an 8 year old son, I am living the dream as a weekend chauffeur travelling between granny’s house, Tae Kwon Do, swimming classes and cubs. I’m an armchair fan of Aberdeen FC (the only Scottish team to have won two 2 European trophies) and enjoy playing golf when time permits, although I am fairly hopeless. Serious golfers beware!
I’ll pretty much eat anything, but I love a good steak although I didn’t get to be the size I am today without the odd pizza or burger!!
Favourite cocktail or drink:
I’m a real lightweight and am rubbish at drinking so I’d far rather have a cup of coffee, which always tastes better if someone else has made it for me. A pint of lager with an espresso chaser is an acquired taste but it does wonders for your ‘staying power’!
Favourite Edinburgh eatery:
No real favourites but as I seem to be spending lot of time in Contini of late, it would be rude not say there I guess.
Favourite travel destination:
I love going to America and we go on an annual road trip every year: California and the Oregon coast are fantastic; Yellowstone and Yosemite are awesome; Las Vegas is hard to beat, but south-west Utah is just amazing.
A random thing someone wouldn’t know about you:
I played the euphonium in a brass band when I was at school. Not cool…firstname.lastname@example.org
