My career history:

Studied at Southbank, scraping a 2:1, followed by stints at JLL, Weatheralls, and CNP before jointly setting up Paragon.

My career highlight:

Building one of the top Building Consultancies in the country and the pride that comes when all our hard work is rewarded by our clients’ trust and relationships. Receiving the Freedom of the City of London runs it close though!

What keeps me motivated:

Seeing the satisfaction of our clients and staff resulting from all our hard work.

What I do differently:

Understanding the crux of the matter and finding a pragmatic commercial solution, hopefully with a degree of humour!

What keeps me busy at the weekend:

Apart from the obvious parenting ‘pleasures’ I’m a keen golfer (not reflected in my handicap unfortunately) and love to scuba dive and ski when opportunity allows. I’m also slightly obsessive about wine and have been collecting it for 20 years, albeit my wife has finally put her foot down and forbidden me from buying any more. Apparently, it’s not healthy!

My favourite food:

Along with wine I’m a little too fond of good food, particularly French, Japanese and of course the new wave of British restaurants, that said I love varied cuisines and thoroughly enjoy cooking. You wouldn’t guess it to look at me!

My favourite eatery:

A Wongs, Hunan, Indian Accent, Bratt, Sabor

My favourite drink:

Having once had far too many martinis and having been asked to leave a rather grand establishment cocktails are firmly off the list! Beer and wine all the way.

My favourite travel destination:

Colombia, Nicaragua, Vietnam, Palau, Micronesia and Italy. The Peak District runs it close though.

Not many people know this about me:

I am occasionally wrong…
